This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available for purchases made through rftag.
rftag provides an invite-only digital translation draft service. Users purchase word credits through Stripe and use those credits to process DOCX files and generate automated draft translations.

Digital Service
rftag provides a digital service. Translation jobs may begin processing shortly after a document is uploaded or submitted.
Because processing uses third-party AI providers and other infrastructure, credits may be consumed once a job has started.
Refunds for Unused Credits
If you purchase word credits and have not used them, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
Refunds for unused credits are normally returned to the original payment method through Stripe.
We may refuse a refund request if we reasonably believe the request is abusive, fraudulent, or inconsistent with fair use of the service.
Used Credits
Credits are generally non-refundable once they have been used to process a translation job.
This is because the service is digital, automated, and incurs processing costs once a job begins.
Failed Translation Jobs
If a translation job fails due to a technical issue with rftag, we may, at our discretion, provide one or more of the following:
- Replacement credits.
- A re-run of the failed job.
- A corrected output where reasonably possible.
- A partial or full refund.
You should contact us at contact@rftag.co.uk with details of the failed job so we can review the issue.
AI Provider Refusals, Moderation, or Filtering
rftag uses third-party AI providers, including OpenAI and DeepSeek.
If uploaded content is blocked, moderated, filtered, refused, truncated, altered, or handled differently by an AI provider, the translation may be incomplete, lower quality, or unable to be processed.
Where this happens, we will review the issue fairly. However, we do not guarantee a refund where the problem is caused by the nature of the uploaded content, third-party provider policies, model limitations, or safety systems outside our direct control.
Translation Quality
rftag provides automated draft translations intended for human review and editing.
Machine-generated translations may contain errors, omissions, mistranslations, formatting issues, tone issues, cultural inaccuracies, hallucinations, or other defects.
Refunds are not normally provided solely because a translation requires human review, correction, editing, or improvement. This is part of the intended use of the service.
However, if the output is substantially incomplete, corrupted, unusable due to a technical error, or materially different from the service described, you may contact us and we will review the issue fairly.
Duplicate Payments and Billing Errors
If you believe you have been charged twice, charged incorrectly, or charged for a purchase you did not authorise, contact us at contact@rftag.co.uk as soon as possible.
Where we confirm a duplicate payment, billing error, or unauthorised charge, we will arrange an appropriate refund or correction.

Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and are normally returned to the original payment method.
Refund timing may depend on Stripe, your card issuer, bank, or payment method provider. Stripe notes that refunds may be issued after a successful payment, and that processing fees from the original transaction may not be returned to the business.
Account Suspension or Misuse
We may refuse refunds where we reasonably believe that a user has misused the service, breached our Terms of Service, attempted fraud, abused free or promotional credits, or used the service in a way that creates legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.
Promotional or Free Credits
Free, trial, promotional, or bonus credits have no cash value and are not refundable.
We may remove or adjust promotional credits where we believe they have been issued in error, abused, or used contrary to the terms of the promotion.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy affects any consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
If you are using rftag as a consumer rather than for business or professional purposes, you may have additional legal rights.
